This post’s sarcastic treatment of property rights is disgusting. You anti-life, anti-profit, anti-freedom, anti-reason, anti-American parasites will one day learn whose is the need, and whose is the ability… Bill Gates doesn’t need any of you, but you all sure do need him and those like him, if you wish to continue living on this planet. Of course, Bill Gates could choose to go on strike and leave you to achieve the death you all seek. If you want shitty software that breaks all the time, requires a full-time staff of programmers to maintain custom applications, and you enjoy wasting time and money because of the low quality of open source, then be my guest… It’s YOUR life on the line, not mine. I, for one, sincerely appreciate Bill Gates’ impact on this planet (let’s not forget that he and those like him have linked all of us together onto one huge network and destroyed the physical boundaries of global communication). He has given humanity way more than most people can ever give back to him, and Microsoft charges very fair prices for their high-quality software. Apple is, of course, better, but that doesn’t make Microsoft bad. You all need to take a good look at your values and decide whether you value LIFE or DEATH. Because this issue is as serious as that.

If open source is communism, I’d rather be a communist than a capitalist because I like the idea of open source more than closed source and open source programs are often better
